Terms & Conditions

The Terms & Conditions have been set out by the proprietor of ‘Beauteaful Occasion’ all clients must agree to the following terms & conditions when hiring items.

  1. Property Ownership & Responsibility

The hired vintage china is to be solely used by the person who made the booking, not to be used by a 3rd party and the client must be accountable when hiring the china. By accepting these terms and conditions you are solely responsible for these items until they are collected by us once the hire period is over.

  1. Vintage China, Washing and Packing

The china is in a vintage condition, therefore some wear & tear should be expected but there will be no chips or cracks in the china you hire.

Hiring the china from ‘Beauteaful Occasion’ can have some matching pieces or mismatched with another piece that compliments the design. If you hire sugar bowls and plates these will not match teacups and saucers as we do not hire out complete sets, unless stated at booking to help compliment the clients theme.

All Vintage china is delicate and cannot be washed in a dishwasher. The china will need to be washed and dried with care by hand; the hire price includes a washing service. Clients will have to repack the china in the packaging provided having removed excess food waste before the arranged collection. The china due to its age is not suitable for dishwasher, oven or microwave, please do not use them with these appliances.

We understand breakages happen during events, we hope it does not put a damper on your time either so please keep the broken goods and return to us.

We want you to enjoy yourselves and customise your events, but we do ask that coloured sprinkles, games using pens and nail varnishes are not used at our table while it’s dressed with our vintage linen tablecloths and vintage napkins, to minimise damage.

  1. Hiring

When hiring china from ‘Beauteaful Occasion’ the charges are calculated on a 3 day hiring period. The china will be delivered the day before your event and collected the day after your event and times will be asked at booking. Any extended periods of time will be charged and discussed at the time of booking.

China will be delivered carefully packaged and labelled, we expect the same quality to be returned.

  1. Payments

To secure your booking a non-refundable deposit of 20% is required. The deposit will be required at booking your secure your event and date. The full balance will be required 1 calendar month before your event.

The china will not be delivered or available unless payment has been made in full. Payments can be made by cash or BACS.

 

  1. Liability

Beauteaful Occasion are not liable in the event of any direct, indirect or consequential loss, damage or additional cost that may arise as a result of the use of our hire items.

  1. Privacy Notice

Please use these terms and conditions in conjunction with the privacy policy.

  1. Refund Policy

At booking we require a 20% non-refundable deposit and the remaining balance is due 1 calendar month prior to the event, the date will be on your invoice and we accept BACS or Cash for this payment.

In addition, we will ask for a separate £100 refundable damage deposit if our hire items are returned to us in the condition they were given to you. If there is signs of damage or any breakages we will deduct the price, see Terms and conditions for full price list of replacing items.

If you are planning a large event we recommend you take our event insurance to cover any cost of damages.

Cancellations must be in writing via email

Non payment of the full hire fee 2 weeks prior to the event will be deemed as cancelled.

If you wish to cancel your booking please let us know as soon as possible, as this allows availability for another client.

If the cancellation has been made by 1 month prior to the event, a refund will be provided (excluding 20% non refundable deposit). If the cancellation has been made less than 1 month prior to the event

In addition, a refundable damage deposit of £100 is required due to the delicate nature of the items. If items are retuned in the condition that they were hired in you will receive your full £100 damage deposit back. This will be returned to you no later than 7 days post collection however, is any of the items are missing or damaged the item cost will be deducted from the damage deposit. If the damage exceeds the £100 deposit, you will be billed an invoice of the remaining balance and the date it is due by. If an item breaks or is lost we expected our clients to be honest you will be charged as it would be to replace the item. Please find replacement price of the items below.

To be eligible for a refund please contact Beauteaful Occasion as soon as possible to enable you to have your refund and enable availability for other customers. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

Damages and issues
Once you have received your items please inspect the hire items if you are not satisfied please let as know as soon as possiblePlease read our terms and conditions and contact us immediately if there is any details incorrect on the booking invoice so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

 

Exchanges
if you have decided you want to change items for your booking, please contact us as soon as possible to ensure we have availability of this item.
